Electricity & circuits

6th December 23

Having looked at static electricity, Year 4 are now exploring current electricity by making simple circuits using batteries, bulbs, buzzers and switches. Most pupils have no experience of making a circuit, and it is exciting to light a bulb or make a buzzer sound for the first time. This leads onto Morse code, the first means of telecommunication, where pupils can send each other messages.
