U11 Football team

4th October 23

Our U11 football team had an outstanding performance at the Hampton Prep 5-a-side football tournament this past Saturday. Our pupils showcased remarkable determination and sportsmanship throughout the day, making us proud to be part of The Mall family.

The tournament began with five pool matches. Despite some fierce competition, we secured our spot in the semi-finals by finishing in second place, tied on points with Newland House but advancing due to the head-to-head score.

The semi-final was nothing short of thrilling, with the score tied after regular time. A dramatic five minutes of golden goal ensued, and our team emerged victorious, following penalties. Earning a place in the final.

In the final showdown against Kings College Junior School, our players raised their game to counter the strong opposition. We even managed to take the lead, going 1-0 up. Although we narrowly lost 2-1 in the dying stages of the match, our players’ commitment was truly commendable. They fought until the very end, nearly drawing level in the closing moments.

Throughout the day, the pupils not only represented The Mall School with style but also demonstrated a remarkable ability to learn and adapt. Their dedication and teamwork were exemplary, and they left it all on the field.

The U11 team received well-deserved runners-up medals for the tremendous effort.

Congratulations to our U11 football team for their impressive performance at the Hampton Prep 5-a-side football tournament.
