Year 5 – Mosque visit

Last week, Year 5 visited Hounslow Mosque. They took their shoes off and then sat in the prayer hall. There the Imam spoke to them about the various services that the mosque provides to the local population and to visitors from afar, many of whom are passing through Heathrow Airport and need a mosque to visit. He then explained why the prayer hall was decorated and designed as it is, culminating in a fun disappearing and reappearing act on his way to the minbar (or pulpit).
