Expeditions Day returns

14th July 21

We were delighted that boys in Years 2 to 5 spent the day out of school on an exciting range of trips for Expeditions Day.

Year 2 – Kew Gardens
The boys took part in an immersive experience, exploring the complex rainforest habitat and variety of rainforest plants located in one of Kew’s famous glasshouses.  The boys worked scientifically by observing, taking measurements and asking questions about rainforest habitats.

Year 3 – RAF Museum
Year 3 visited the RAF Museum in Hendon, where they travelled back to 1940 to explore what life was like on the Home Front and met an Air Raid Warden who showed them how to stay safe during blackouts, gas attacks and air raids.

Year 4 – Butser Farm
Butser Ancient Farm is a world leading destination for experimental archaeology and education, bringing the past to life through hands on, immersive, practical activities that are accessible for all. The boys got involved in a variety of activities including chalk carving, wattling and reconstructing the past as a Saxon.

Year 5 – LEGOLAND
Year 5 spent the day at LEGOLAND, where they took part in a workshop and built a LEGO® Rollercoaster, to explore how forces and energy act upon them.
