Year 6 celebrate another set of outstanding 11+ offers and awards

The Mall School celebrates third year of 11+ success.

Boys in Year 6  are celebrating after receiving another set of outstanding 11+ offers from 24 independent and selective state grammar schools.

70% of boys received two or more offers and with 20% receiving 4 or more offers. 40% of boys received offers from at least one of the following boys’ schools: Hampton, St Paul’s Juniors, King’s College School or Westminster Under. Since the school moved to boys leaving at 11+ there has been a significant increase in the number receiving offers from popular coeducational schools such as Kingston Grammar, St George’s and Latymer Upper (38%) and many more boys now take 11+ exams to state grammar schools with 28% boys receiving grammar offers this year.

Boys have been offered academic scholarships to Hampton, King’s College School, Radnor House and St George’s College in addition to a music scholarship to St George’s and a sports scholarship to St James.

Headmaster David Price said “I am extremely proud of how all the boys have approached the 11+ examinations this year. Although they spent a considerable part of Year 5 at home during the first lockdown and then had to then sit more of the exams online rather than in the senior schools, they coped magnificently and the offers they have received to such a wide range of schools is testament to our commitment to ensuring we find the right school for each boy.”
