Year 1 – English

9th May 23

1C have started a unit of work in English about traditional tales and are currently focusing on ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. In connection with this they planted some bean seeds and then drew a picture of a land they would like to find at the top of a beanstalk. They used adjectives to describe this imaginary land and came up with a variety of ideas such as a forest, a botanical garden, a land full of sweets, a desert, snow covered mountains, a land covered in volcanos and a land full of rainbows. The children will record the growth of their bean plants over the next couple of weeks.
