Year 5 – Expeditions day

25th April 22

Year 5 went to Bushy Park stockyard. Once there, the boys were split into groups and experienced ‘Woodland Exploring’ and ‘Pond Dipping’. This involved delights such as log turning, a meadow and hedgerow sweep and a woodland search. They found a variety of minibeasts to study. The boys had an introduction to pond invertebrates, and found examples whilst pond dipping. They then got to view the invertebrates under a trinocular microscope.
