Year 6 – PE

31st January 22

This term, Year 6 have been performing Parkour in PE lessons. An active and less formal gymnastic type activity. It gives the pupils a chance to move, jump, vault and land off and over equipment. Pupils are shown how to use moves such as the safety roll while landing to control their momentum from jumps. All manner of vaults are taught to boys, from simple side vault techniques to more difficult vaults such as the ‘kong’ vault. They then can select the ones they wish to use, while travelling around the mats and equipment.
