Congratulations to our Year 6 pupils for their fantastic 11+ results this year. As well as being offered places at a wide range of senior schools, including some of the most academically selective locally, The Mall pupils have also been awarded numerous scholarships. 96% of pupils received TWO or more senior school offers.
In a hair-raising, electrically charged science lesson, Year 4 used the Van de Graaf generator to understand the principles of electrostatics. The generator applies a charge to its dome and anything else in contact with the dome. If the object is a pupil, they obtain a net surplus of charge (be it positive or negative), which is especially noticeable with hair, as each individual strand is repelled from every other and from the scalp.

Throwback to our skeleton work from last year. The Year 1 children had labelled up their own skeleton bodies in their science lesson and Mrs Bones made another appearance to help!
