Bushy Park

6th March 23

students and teachers out on a field looking at their wooden tools

Year 5 went to the Stockyard in Bushy Park where their first activity was learning how to use a compass. They then had to work in teams to complete an orienteering course, picking up clues to make a word. In the second activity they went pond dipping. They used nets to collect samples from the water, dipped it into a tray and tried to identify the mini beasts they had found. Once back at camp, some of their samples were put under a microscope, and the pictures were displayed on a large screen.
