Celebrating success: Our Year 6 pupils shine in the 11+ exams

17th April 26

Year 6 pupil at The Mall School

We are absolutely delighted to share some truly outstanding news about our Year 6 pupils. Their hard work, determination, and resilience have paid off in remarkable fashion, as this year’s cohort has achieved exceptional success in their 11+ examinations.

This group of pupils has demonstrated not only academic excellence but also a positive attitude to learning throughout their time with us. Preparing for the 11+ is no small challenge, and their commitment—both in and out of the classroom—has been inspiring to witness.

The journey to success

We are especially proud to announce that our pupils have collectively received over 90 offers from a range of highly regarded secondary schools, both locally and further afield. This incredible achievement reflects both the breadth and depth of their abilities, as well as the dedication of our teaching staff and the support from families at home.  It demonstrates how our curriculum is geared towards pupils achieving the highest outcomes, and shows how our series of discussions throughout Years 4 – 6 ensures pupils have both choice and suitability in which schools they move on to in Year 7.

Scholarships in academia, sports, art and music

Even more exciting is the number of scholarships that have been awarded. Many of our pupils have secured scholarships in recognition of their academic excellence, and in some cases, their talents in areas such as music, sport, and the arts. These awards are a testament to the well-rounded education they have embraced during their time here.

While we celebrate these impressive outcomes, we are equally proud of the character our pupils have shown along the way—perseverance, kindness, and a willingness to support one another. These qualities will serve them well as they take their next steps into secondary education.

To our Year 6 pupils: congratulations! You have made us all incredibly proud. We wish you every success and happiness in the next chapter of your educational journey.

And to our staff and families: thank you for your unwavering support in helping our pupils achieve such fantastic results. This success is truly a shared accomplishment.

Here’s to a bright future ahead for every one of our Year 6 stars!
