Remembrance Day

On Monday 11th November, we held our Remembrance assembly in the theatre, where the whole school was united to stand in silence for 2 minutes. During the assembly we learned about the history of Remembrance Day and the symbolism of poppies. Mr Gosden led the assembly, informing the children about the bravery of those who fought for their country. Our Prefects ensured all pupils had a poppy of their own and our School Captains read 2 emotive poems. We were also kindly joined by a former pupil who gave a brilliant performance on the trumpet to the school.
