Happy Easter from The Mall School!

The children took part in various fun activities during the last week of term to prepare for Easter, including Easter egg hunts, visiting St Michael’s Church and making egg baskets.

Reception to Year 3 all enjoyed our Easter egg hunt that took place in the playground on the last day of term.

Year 1 have been learning about the Easter story and Easter traditions as part of their Religious Studies this term. In connection with this they have made some Easter baskets and made pictures of chickens hatching from eggs showing new life.

Year 2 made some amazing bunny pictures. They created and painted their own unique backgrounds before adding their Easter bunny and patterned eggs.

Year 5 were invited to St Michael’s Church recently to take part in their Easter Experience. This consisted of five stations: the Last Supper, the Garden of Gethsemane, a centurion’s tent, Jesus’ tomb and the banks of the Sea of Galilee. They met, respectively, a servant, Peter, a centurion, Mary Magdalen, and Peter again who were all talking of their contact with Jesus. The children then took part in a workshop explaining Christian beliefs about Easter.

More information on upcoming events can be found in our calendar.
