Butser Ancient Farm

6th March 23

students lined up at an Ancient Farm

Year 4 went to Butser Ancient Farm where we soon realised how chilly it must have been in Saxon times and how smoky the houses would have been in order to keep warm. We took part in a variety of activities such as an archaeological dig; using flint to write our names; using spindles to spin wool from sheep on the farm; and learning the techniques of wattling.
