A newspaper report written by a pupil from Year 5
This morning a tragic event occurred involving Humpty Dumpty, all the King’s horses and men, and Puss in Boots.
It was believed that Puss in Boots told Humpty Dumpty to fight his fears of heights and sit on a wall for five minutes. Humpty Dumpty was trembling so much he fell off the wall.
All the King’s horses and men tried but could not put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
The cow who jumped over the moon witnessed this event and said “I was out on my morning walk when I trotted around Cow Corner and I saw Humpty Dumpty falling off the wall. I cracked up when I saw this.”
Following the unfortunate event, one of the King’s horses and men carelessly trod upon the delicate egg, which gave way under the hoof.
After further investigation another witness, Old MacDonald sighted Puss in Boots fleeing the scene.
