Giving something back: our charitable support

From an early age, all children are encouraged to think of others and to support people who are less fortunate than them. We have a pupil-lead charity committee which identifies charities to support and how the school can help them.

Charities we’ve supported

We collect food donations and toiletries at our annual Harvest Festival in the Autumn, and have regularly donated to both Richmond Food Bank and The Vineyard Community Centre.

At our annual Christmas carol service, a collection is raised to support families in desperate need around the world. We also respond to emergency appeals after a natural disaster.

Chitsime School, Malawi

We have strong links with Chitsime school in Malawi, through African Vision. Over the last five years our sponsored activities have raised money to build school classrooms, a water pump and a new kitchen. We have donated uniforms, book bags, sports bags and footballs to the school. In 2019, our first music marathon raised £5,000 towards a new minibus for the charity. We reinforce our relationship with the Malawian school through regular Chitsime Assemblies for all pupils.
