Rainer Struck’s Cycle Challenge

16th May 17

Mr Struck is cycling to France in order to raise money for African Vision Malawi, a charity the school has been supporting since 2008 – Mr Struck has been personally sponsoring a child who has now reached university. He is very keen for the whole school to support him in this venture so money can be raised to help children and vulnerable people in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world. Many children are just too poor to reach a hospital to get the medical help they so urgently need. The charity’s vision is to see a ‘healthy, educated and self-sufficient community in Malawi’.

Mr Struck will be cycling approximately 1000 miles over the course of a month, completing the journey by June 20th.

We are sending home a sponsor form with each boy and we will also put one on the school website. Your son can ask family and friends to sponsor Mr Struck per mile or a sum could be donated in one go.

You could also send a donation direct to the charity and read more about his cycle ride here.

Cheques can be made payable to: African Vision Malawi but they have asked that you write: “Please claim Gift Aid on this donation” on the reverse of the cheque.

Hopefully Mr Struck will keep us up to date with how things are going and we will look forward to welcoming him back to school to tell us about his trip.
